How Air Filters Work

The working principle of the air filter is to use the filter medium as the main filtering method. When the air passes through the filter air filter, the filter paper will block the impurities in the air and stick them to the filter element, so as to achieve the effect of air filtration. The detailed introduction about the air filter is as follows:

1. Dry inertia air filter, A dry inertia air filter is composed of a dust cover, deflector, dust outlet, dust cup and so on. Its working principle is to use the suction generated by the cylinder to generate a pressure difference inside and outside the air filter. The large dust is thrown into the dust cup to complete the air filtration.

2. The wet inertia air filter is mainly composed of a center pipe and an oil pool. Its working principle is that after the air enters the filter, it goes down at a very high speed along the central tube, and after rushing to the oil surface of the oil pool, the direction of movement suddenly changes to up and produces a rotating motion. The effect is too late to be adhered to in the oil with the reverse upward movement of the air to complete the air filtration.

3. The dry filter air filter is composed of a paper filter element and a sealing gasket. Its working principle is that when the air enters the filter, it is filtered through the paper filter element so that the dust in the air is separated by the filter element or adhered to the filter element.

4. The wet filter air filter is composed of a metal filter soaked in engine oil. Its working principle is that the fine dust particles are blocked when the air filtered by the oil bath passes through the metal filter soaked in engine oil. The adhering part of the dust particles will drop into the oil together with the oil.
